Five Students awarded the Freshman Scholarships provided by the Alumni Association

Five incoming freshman science students are each recieving a $1,000 scholarship, thanks to the generosity of College of Science Alumni and Friends. The list of finalist was tunred over the the newly formed College of Science Alumni Association Board, who chose the recipients.

Alumni Day -- The CoSAA will be hosting the second annual Alumni Day on Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. This year's event will include breakfast and lunch, and will feature exciting and fun presentationsfor the whole family presented by College of Science Professors, including a presentation of the new Faraday Lecture. College of Science Alumni Association

Alumni Association

The University of Utah College of Science established the College of Science Alumni Association (CoSAA) to advance the university’s and the college’s pursuit of excellence by forging and preserving relationships among alumni, students, and the community.

Shortly after becoming dean of the College of Science in July 2007, Pierre Sokolsky realized the importance of reconnecting with alumni, friends, and supporters of the college. The Alumni Association Committee was organized and met for the first time on April 22, 2008. The committee consistes of local alumni, faculty, and staff interested in the formation and long term organzation of the CoSAA.
